Mary was born in Barstow, California on February 5, 1959 to Gerald A. Hanson and Peggy Jane Hanson. 
Her early years were spent in Southern California moving between Santa Ana, El Toro Marine Base and Camp Pendleton Marine Base due to Gerald being a career Marine.
Her family moved to Boise, Idaho in 1968 where Mary attended Hawthorne Elementary, South Junior High, and Borah High School where she graduated in 1977. Later Mary moved to Seattle, Washington.
She was involved in restaurant management, modeling, and music. She made many lifelong friends wherever she went. Everyone knew her by her fiery red hair and personality to match.
Family was very important to Mary. She was a loving Aunt to her nieces and nephew: Laura, Jillian, and Nate. They loved spending time with her. She was the babysitter of choice. They always knew an adventure awaited when spending time with their favorite Aunt MiMi!
She married Ray Bishop and moved to Spanish Fork, Utah in 2008, where they lived until the time of Mary’s passing. She suffered several health issues and dealt with much pain these past few years but was so excited to enter into the next stage of life as Step Grandma to three beautiful Grandchildren. Two of which were just recently born to Step Daughters Brooke and Hailey. She vowed that she was going to spoil them rotten.
Mary was proceeded in death by brother Glenn, Mother Peggy, and Father Gerald Hanson.
Survived by brothers Gerald Hanson Jr. and James Hanson ( wife Carolyn); nieces and nephew Laura, Jillian, Piper, and Nate. Husband Ray Bishop and Step Daughters Brooke Davis (Husband Nathan), Hailey Katzenbach (Husband Jesse).
Mary we love you. We’ll never forget the impact you made on all our lives and we’ll be looking ahead with joy to see you again some day.
