Marvin “Steven” Lindsey, age 44, passed away in his home, surrounded by family on November 15th, 2020, of cancer. Steven was born in American Fork, Utah, to Marvin J. Lindsey and Annelle R. Cook on December 5th, 1975. He attended and graduated from Granite High School in 1994. He also earned a certificate in HVAC from Fortis College in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Steven worked in the steel industry as a welder and his employment history included working for Titan Steel in Murray, Tanco Steel in North Salt Lake, Union Pacific Railroad, and Wadsworth Construction.
Steven married Aarin Ann Penrose and together they had six children. Family was so important to Steven and he loved spending time with them. He supported his children in their various interests and always tried to be present at their games and activities. Steven loved watching his sons play football, participating in jam sessions with the kids, and cooking with them. He enjoyed the family tradition of going to Cherry Hill every summer for many years. He could often be seen walking the dogs in the evenings with his kids. He also really enjoyed having game nights with extended family and friends.
Steven is survived by his children: Aubree Ann (21), Austin Steven (19), Andrew John (17), Autumn Allyse (15), Alexander William (11), and Alta Rose (7) Lindsey; his best friend and mother of his children, Aarin Ann Penrose; parents, Marvin Lindsey and Annelle Hagar; his sisters: Shaunna (Bryan) Mineer, Jessica (Boyd) Zabriskie, Xantippi (Vance) Stone, Linda (Zak) Ogburn, and Sarah (Mark) Christensen. Steven is also survived by 37 nieces and nephews, who loved him and will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Lowell Penrose; and other extended family, friends, and his beloved dogs, Toby and Brinckley.
