Our sweet daughter, sister, and mother, Marianne Elizabeth Shepherd, unexpectedly passed away in her home on June 27, 2021, at the age of 43.
Marianne was born on August 10, 1977 in Panorama City, California to Chris and Carol Shepherd. She was one of six children. Growing up, Marianne loved to play the piano and sing. She was very musically inclined and easily shared her talents with those around her. She even collaborated with her elementary school principal in writing the school song. She attended Canyon High School where she loved performing in theater, cheer, and concert choir.
Marianne was married to Ben Combs for 19 years and was an incredible mother to two sons and three daughters: Sage, Matthew, Natalie, Rachel, and Megan. She was lovingly devoted to her children, enthusiastically supporting them in developing their talents. Her joy for life was contagious. At home with her children there were often spontaneous performances of dance and song mixed with laughter.
Marianne poured her creativity and passion into designing and creating rubber-band figurines for family, friends, and anyone she met. She had a talent for connecting with people; she would laugh with you, advocate for you, and make you feel special.
She will be sorely missed by her parents, Chris and Carol; her siblings: Mike, Lisa, Jennifer, David, and Darren; her former husband Ben; and her children: Sage (27), Matthew (19), Natalie (17), Rachel (15), and Megan (13).
Friends and family are invited to attend an Open House Thursday, July 1, 2021, at 10 am, followed by a memorial service at 10:30 am. Both will be held in the chapel at Walker Funeral Home, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork, Utah.
