Maria Jewkes Ostler, age 53, returned home to her heavenly father on July 7, 2019 surrounded by her family. Maria was born the youngest of 5 children. She was born in West Valley City on September 8, 1965 to Richard G Jewkes and Thelma Mae Brinkerhoff Jewkes. Maria married Randy Matt Ostler on August 3, 2005 in Spanish Fork.
Maria was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She graduated from Carbon High School and went on to attend Stevens-Henager College, BYU Hawaii and College of Eastern Utah. She loved theater and music and was involved in them all through her education and throughout her life.
Maria enjoyed the finer things in life, and loved a girl’s day out shopping, as her eye for fashion was never unnoticed. Maria always looked fabulous in her trendy and fashion forward digs.
Maria’s house was always inviting, and she loved to entertain loved ones in her intricately decorated home. Her extensive collections of her favorite things; coca cola memorabilia and autographs, to name a few were always a topic of conversation or a good friendly debate amongst friends and family. She had an eye for decorating and loved to display her passions.
She was a huge football fan and could be caught sporting her favorite team or players identifying jersey on game days. She always cheered for the University of Utah and was a devoted Steelers, then Saints fan.
Maria loved to look for waterfalls and she spent many beautiful days sharing this hobby with her eternal love Randy.
Maria was an amazing Sales Rep and loved her job selling medical textbooks for WH Freeman Publishing Company. She later transitioned to representing the Oral B Dental Supply Company, selling supplies to dental offices. Her employment was not a job, it was her passion.
Maria met the love of her life, Randy, and they fell in love quickly. After a short courtship, Randy asked her to marry him and she was concerned that she could not guarantee longevity because of her health issues. She decided to take a chance and they were married a little over a month later. Their earthly journey lasted for almost 14 years, before the final chapter, their beginning of forever.
Maria is survived by her loving husband Randy, her children Candise (Jared) Scott, ID, Heather (Creed) Stephenson, Spanish Fork, Ryan (Marlen) Ostler, Spanish Fork, Tiffany (Scott) Jacobson, Salem, Nannette (Nick) Allen, Spanish Fork, Cameron Ostler, Spanish Fork. 23 grandchildren, and her siblings:
