Lynn James Porter December 27, 1967 - April 8, 2020

Our dear friend and loved one, Lynn James Porter, passed away unexpectedly April 8th, 2020.  Lynn was born in Salt Lake on December 27, 1967, to his parents Lois (Kathy) Kathleen  Senninger and James L. Porter.  Lynn was raised in Springville, Utah, and passed away while living in Arizona.
Lynn loved to laugh and was a great friend to all that knew him.  Those who knew him best described him as understanding, intelligent and witty. Lynn was always supportive and willing to give anyone the shirt off his back. Lynn loved to go camping and be in the outdoors.  Lynn could fix or build almost anything.  He made a living as a Handyman, as well as fixing computers. If you could dream it, he could build it. The anguish felt from our loss is emotionally, mentally and physically draining. Lynn missed his mother dearly who passed in 2008, and we all take comfort imagining their joyful reunion.
Lynn is survived by his step-dad Rob Simpson, sisters Becky Porter Rewis (Lynn Atwood), Tammy (Chuck)Witt, and Maria (Bob)More, and brothers Vincent Hobbs, Darald Porter, and James (Marilyn) Porter.  He was proceeded in death by brothers Peter (Tony) Costanzo and Martin (Mark) Costanzo, father James L. Porter, stepfather Jerry Cordova, and his mother Lois (Kathy) Kathleen Senninger Cordova Simpson .
A private celebration of Lynn’s life will be held when it is safe to travel and gather again.

My favorite poem…you are in our heart, thoughts and prayers!

    Somewhere Beyond the Sunset

    Somewhere beyond the sunset
    Is a better tomorrow,
Where the sun shines more brightly
Free from tears, pain, and sorrow.
This place is not far away.
‘Tis a place God has prepared
    Known to us as Paradise.
    There many joys are shared.
    There was a grand reunion
When her ship docked at the shore.
    Loving arms encircled her.
    New adventures were in store.
    She is secure and happy,
Learning more of God’s great plan.
    Blessed with His unfailing love
    Throughout this eternal.
One day our name will be called
When God sees fit to claim his own,
To come home to live once more.
Our life here is but his loan.
We shall dwell with him fore’er
When we set sail for the shore.
    Somewhere beyond the sunset
    Ne’er to part forever more.
