Lynn J Youd November 21, 1930 - April 15, 2021

Our devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather passed away peacefully at his home on April 15, 2021, in Lake Shore, Utah, joining his eternal sweetheart, Beverly MacKay Youd.

He was born November 21, 1930, in Spanish Fork, Utah, to J Ivan and Mathilda Peterson Youd. He was the fifth of seven children born to his parents. As a young boy, he enjoyed working on the family farm, alongside his father, taking care of the cattle and working the ground.

Lynn loved his Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ with all of his heart. He cherished and honored his membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a strong testimony of the gospel; he enjoyed serving the Lord. As a young man in 1950, he faithfully served in the North Central States Mission.

After returning home, he married Beverly MacKay on December 26, 1952, in the Salt Lake City Utah Temple. To this eternal union, they happily welcomed four sons and two daughters: Jay, Kathy, Roger, Steven, Charlene, and Duane. Lynn and Beverly were blessed with 64 wonderful years together, until the passing of his beloved wife on August 25, 2016.

He enjoyed every calling he had and held many positions in the church. He especially loved his calling as a temple ordinance worker in the Provo and the Payson temples. His desire was to serve the Lord. Lynn and Beverly had the opportunity to serve a mission in Richmond, Virginia, in 1994-1995.

Lynn worked at U.S. Steel Geneva Works, and retired after 35 years. The job he really loved and enjoyed was working on his own farm and raising cattle.

Lynn and Beverly liked traveling and spending time with their family. They loved going on road trips, spending winters in Arizona, and family campouts. He always supported the family and never missed any family events. Family was always top priority.

Lynn is survived by his children: Jay (MaryAnn) Youd, Kathy Hair, Steven (Konni) Youd, and Charlene (Dale) Koyle, daughter-in-law, Linda Youd; as well as 22 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his wife, Beverly; his parents; and his siblings: Max Youd, Wayne Youd, Isabel Draper, Lois Youd, Glen Youd, and Marie Carr. He is also preceded in death by his sons: Roger Youd and Duane Youd; son-in-law, Jay Hair; and grandson, Michael Koyle.

The Youd family would like to thank Canyon Homecare and Hospice for their excellent care and service.
