Lyn Brent Tanner, 67, of Payson, Utah passed away on February 25, 2019. Lyn was born on October 10, 1951 in Payson, Utah to William Ray and Grace Morganson Tanner. He graduated from Payson High School, attended and graduated from Snow College, and attended USU studying Forestry.
He joined the U.S. Air Force where he served for 20 years. He then worked as a civilian for Southwest Airlines as a ticket agent. Lyn married Teresita Dalce on May 3, 1980 in Los Angeles, Phillipines. Together they had 4 children.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Lyn loved hunting, fishing, the outdoors, drawing, oil painting and playing the guitar.
Lyn is survived by his 3 daughters, Ruth Tanner, Brenda Tanner and Leslie Tanner, 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, siblings Jerry Tanner and Sandra Tanner, and niece Chandra Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and infant son Phillip Tanner.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Utah Central Veterans Home in Payson for the loving care and support given to Lyn.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the West Mountain 3rd Ward Building, 902 West 400 North, Payson, with a visitation help prior to the service from 10-10:45 at the church. Interment with Military Honors will be in the Utah Veterans Memorial Park Cemetery, 1711 South Camp Williams Rd., Bluffdale, UT 84065.
