Lorraine Woodbury passed away quietly in her sleep the morning of September 27, 2021, in Las Vegas, Nevada, after a prolonged illness. She was born April 20, 1930, in Cedar City, Utah, to Arthur Hartley Woodbury and Harriet Arvilla Ford Woodbury.
She married Gary Pollock in the St. George Utah Temple, June 8, 1949. Lorraine and Gary had three beautiful children together. They later divorced.
Lorraine has a great sense of humor. She made everyone laugh and was so fun to be around. She loved to travel and to go country dancing. She had a talent for decorating, which was evident in her beautiful home.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathryn P. Saunders, of Las Vegas, Nevada; her son, Keven G. (Shirley) Pollock, of Riverside, Utah; her son, Ricky W. (Lori) Pollock, of Wells, Nevada; as well as 10 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She is additionally survived by numerous step-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Marrianne Woodbury; many nieces and nephews; and her little dog, “Baby.” Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers: Clair F. Woodbury, Clayton H. Woodbury, and Richard L. Woodbury; and by her sisters: Irene W. Pollock, Carol W. Pollock, and Helen W. Beatty.
The family of Lorraine wishes to thank the caregivers at Harmony Hospice for the care they gave her. A special thank you also goes to Dottie Gomez, who is a special angel, and was like a sister to Lorraine. Dottie spent many hours and days taking care of all of Lorraine’s needs over the past few months of her life.
Lorraine was loved by us – we will miss her, until we see her again.
Lorraine wished to be cremated and her ashes buried next to her sister, Carol Pollock (and brother-in-law, D. Jack Pollock). Graveside services, to honor her wishes, will be Thursday, October 28, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Orem City Cemetery, Orem, Utah 84097.
