Logan Tate Iverson, 16, of Payson passed away on October 9, 2022.
Logan was born June 27, 2006 in Provo, UT to Brad Iverson and Melissa Meppen Iverson. He lived all his life in Payson and was currently a Junior at Payson High School.
The third of four sons, Logan loved his brothers fiercely and passionately. Competition was a constant between them, he was always challenging them to physical feats and athletic contests and encouraging them to excel.
Logan will be remembered for his loving personality, confidence and fun sense of humor.
Logan was super intelligent, he could give you stats on any NBA player from memory, and on many players from other sports as well.
Playing sports and spending time with his friends and family were what Logan enjoyed most. He was a natural athlete, excelling at baseball, soccer, volleyball and scooters. But his true passion was playing basketball with his friends every chance he could. He was a proud member of the Payson High School basketball team.
Logan was passionate and very dedicated to improving his craft. He spent many hours practicing and working towards his goals. He could often be heard saying… “Ball is Life” or often joked, “Don’t touch me I’ve got tryouts”.
Logan was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. At the time of his passing, Logan was a Priest in the Payson 15th Ward.
Logan is survived by his parents Brad and Melissa Iverson; brothers Bradley Jacob, Maxwell Bennett (currently serving in the Texas Fort Worth Mission), and Bridger Burke; grandparents Gary and Kathy Iverson, and Rodney and Debra Meppen; and many uncles, aunts, cousins and all the countless buddies.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Payson Utah Stake Center, 650 West 800 South, Payson, Utah.
