Linda Wilde Peterson returned to her Heavenly Father and loving parents on September 17, 2019. She was surrounded by loved ones at Mountain View Hospital in Payson, Utah. She was 63. We are so grateful for all of the loving care that she has received from family, friends, and medical personnel.
Linda was born on January 7, 1956 in Payson, UT to her parents, Roe and Teresa Wilde. She was the youngest of 6 children growing up and living in Payson for most of her life. She worked side by side with her father and siblings at his bakery on Main Street, “Roe’s Bake Shoppe.” Linda’s joy was found in family, she has one son who was her sun and moon. She found so much joy watching him participate in things that he loved and supported him in every way. That joy was multiplied by her two grandchildren. She was devoted to family no matter what.
Anyone who knew Linda knows she was a die-hard BYU fan and loved supporting her Cougars. She worked at Wal-Mart for the last 15 years and spent every day smiling and greeting her customers with her infectious personality. She was recognized and loved by so many. People would wait in her line just to say hello and speak to her. Her family is deeply grateful to Wal-Mart, its’ management, and employees for all of their love and support through her years spent there. We also want to thank countless customers who were so kind and compassionate to her.
Linda was a devoted mother, sister, and daughter of our Heavenly Father. She loved to play the piano, read, and spend time with her grandchildren. Her dedication to her faith was her strength throughout her life and death.
Linda is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dustin and Kristel Peterson of Salem, UT; her brothers, Alan (Becky) Wilde, Bill (Susan) Wilde, and Garth (Karen) Wilde and her devoted sister Judy (Blake) Sudweeks; and two grandchildren, Kyson and Elizabeth. She was preceded in death by her parents (Roe and Teresa Wilde) and sister (Roe Ann Wilde)
Linda will be buried in a private ceremony on September 21, 2019. A memorial will take place on September 21, 2019 at the chapel on 225 South 400 East in Payson, UT. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Linda’s’ life. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the fight against cancer.
