Linda Lucinda Jensen February 13, 1941 - August 7, 2026

Linda Jensen passed away on August 7, 2026, and left behind a legacy of love, hard work, and devotion to her family.

Linda Lucinda Popp was born on February 13, 1941, in Heber City, Utah, to Frank and Lucinda Popp. As one of eight children, she spent her childhood on the family farm, where she developed her strong work ethic and love of horses. Some of her favorite stories to tell were about using horses and bobsleds to move hay when they’d feed the cows during the harsh Heber Valley winters. Later in life, she competed in rodeos as a barrel racer.

Linda and her husband, Roger, recently celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary. They were first married in 1968 and were later sealed in the Provo Utah Temple. Together, they raised four boys, Kevin, Kim, Kurt, and Mark, in Payson.

Linda had many titles throughout her life, but the one she was most proud of was, without a doubt, Grandma J. Over the years, she attended countless wrestling tournaments, dance recitals, baseball games, soccer games, and livestock shows. Grandma J spent several birthdays sitting on a hard plastic seat in the UCCU Center watching her grandsons compete at the state wrestling tournament, and there wasn’t anywhere else she would’ve rather been.

Linda worked for Zions Bank for 33 years, beginning her career as a window teller and eventually becoming an agricultural loan officer supervisor.

If you ever had the chance to visit Linda at home, you would have seen beautiful quilts all over the house and Linda working on a new one, either in her sewing room or from her recliner. Her hands were rarely idle. Whenever anyone she knew (family or not) had a big life event or milestone on the horizon, chances were they were getting a hand-stitched quilt with a soft minky side from Linda to commemorate it.

Her love of quilting also gave her a wonderful circle of friends. They quilted together often and even took annual quilting retreats to Panguitch and Ferron.

Linda had a kind and selfless spirit that she demonstrated through quiet action until the end of her life. Her favorite church callings were with the young women, and she always looked forward to Girls Camp. She also enjoyed volunteering as a Pink Lady at Mountain View Hospital.

Linda is survived by her husband Roger, their four sons, Kevin (Milan), Kim, Kurt (Terri), and Mark (Natalie); her grandsons, Roger Paul, Wyatt (Catherine), Josh, Gavin (Kindree), Cole, Lance (Kate), and Zachary; her favorite granddaughter, Alyssa; and her great-grandson, Hank.

Linda will be remembered for her tireless work ethic, her kindness, her beautiful quilts, and her unwavering devotion to her family.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Utah.
