Linda Elaine Jackson, 79, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025, in Salem, Utah. Born December 10, 1945 in Tacoma, Washington to Perry and Edith Reese, Elaine was the youngest of three siblings. She was truly the apple of her daddy’s eye.
Elaine attended Brigham Young University, studying elementary education and music. She was active with the opera workshop and kept a lifelong love of singing and music. She could fill a room with her voice, a talent that aided her as a teacher.
Elaine had a long career teaching for Lyon County School District in Fernley, Nevada, where she influenced hundreds of children in the community.
She is survived by her two sons, Jim (Brooke) and Gary (Naomi), six grandchildren: Michelle, Lena, Annie, Peri, Cora, and Rory, and numerous nieces and nephews.
