Bud Davis Livestream Broadcast

Lehi Reuben Davis, most well known as Bud, passed away peacefully at his home on January 6, 2025, in Spanish Fork, Utah. Born on December 18, 1942, in Payson, Utah to Lee Hansen Davis and Edith Taylor Davis, Bud was a lifelong resident of Spanish Fork who dedicated his life to family and community.
Bud graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1961 and began working at an early age. At just eight years old, he picked up a hammer and followed his father into the world of carpentry—a trade that would instill in him a strong work ethic that lasted throughout his life. He spent over two decades at Geneva Steel before retiring after sixteen years with the Nebo School District at Spanish Fork High School.

A devoted member of the community, Bud served for many years with the Spanish Fork JCs and was recognized by city recreation for his unwavering commitment to youth sports through his volunteer work with the local football program. His passion for helping young athletes shaped countless lives; he believed deeply in fostering strength—both physical and character—in those around him.

Bud’s love for weightlifting became legendary within his circle of friends and family. He built a weight room onto his home where people traveled from near and far to train together at “Bud’s Gym.” This space transformed into more than just a gym; it became a sanctuary where friendships flourished under Bud’s encouragement—a testament to how he brought people together like family.

He is survived by his wife Carol Pusey Davis, their two sons Jeff Davis, and Sean Davis, along with five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren who will carry forward his legacy of strength both inside the gym and out. He also leaves behind sister Laurel Larsen; however, he is preceded in death by both parents Lee Hansen Davis & Edith Taylor Davis as well as brother Steve Davis and youngest son Brandon.

As we remember Bud today—and always—we celebrate not only the man but also what he stood for: hard work, dedication to family values above all else while nurturing connections within our community that will last long beyond this moment.

A viewing will be held on Sunday evening January 12th from 6-8 PM at Walker Mortuary located at 187 S Main St., Spanish Fork UT. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday morning January 13th beginning promptly at 11 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 585 N Main St., Spanish Fork UT—with an additional short viewing beforehand from 9:45-10:45 AM.

In honoring Bud’s memory let us lift each other up—as he did so effortlessly throughout every chapter of life—strengthening bonds forged through love & laughter amidst challenges faced together along this journey called life.

A heartfelt thank you to the many Bud’s Gym family members, and Bud’s coffee drinking buddies. Who will all forever be family. A special thanks also, to Simon with hospice for his kindness and care in Bud’s last days.
