Leesa Ann Brereton Pearson, 51, of Payson, Utah, passed away on March 1, 2021. Leesa was born on May 8, 1969 in American Fork, Utah to Fred Merrill and Susan Marrott Brereton. She was raised in Lakeshore and attended and graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1987. During high school she met the love of her life, Bryce Pearson. There were married in Lakeshore, Utah on February 26, 1988. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Provo Utah Temple on February 26, 1991.
After raising her children, she returned back to school and attended MATC Technical College for Medical Assisting. She started her career with Stonecreek and later moved to Revere health for many years. At the time of her passing she was working for IHC.
Leesa loved adventures. She loved the outdoors, camping, and riding in the side by side especially with her family. She also loved crafts and scrapbooking, but the highlight of her life was her grandkids. She spent countless hours with them. Even with her busy schedule she found time to do Nana day with each grandchild. The grandchildren would talk often about their time with Nana. Because her love was so strong for each of them, they will each carry memories of her for a lifetime and she will be dearly missed by them. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many capacities. She was always serving others.
She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, who always put the needs of others before her own.
Leesa is survived by her husband, Bryce Pearson; parents, Fred and Susan Brereton of Santaquin, Utah; children: Skyler Bryce (Chelsey) Pearson, of Payson; Lacee Ann (Todd) Stoneman, of Spanish Fork; Kelsee Lyn (Jesus) Castro, of Payson; and Justin Howard (Azure) Pearson, of Payson; 8 grandchildren; 1 brother and 3 sisters and their spouses; father-in-law, Richard Pearson of Springville, Utah; 1 brother-in-law and 4 sisters-in-law and their spouses; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Mary Judith Pearson; and sister-in-law, Juli Pouncil.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Mountain View 1st Ward 1138 East 100 South, Payson, Utah. I can imagine the happy reunion with Grandma Brereton, Grandpa Johnny, Aunt Julia, and the others as her ship became visible to them on the other side of the veil. I am sorry for your heartache Bryce, Skyler, Lacee, Kelsie, Justin, Uncle Fred, Aunt Susan, Dayna, Dean, Angela, and Sara. We love each of you and are thinking of you. I look forward to seeing her again. ❤ xx

March 4, 2021 at 11:46 amDear Bryce, we first met Leesa in 1994, one year after our son Stefan returned from his student exchange he had spent with the Brereton family. Leesa was for us a friendly, open-minded and fun-loving woman, what she stayed until the end. We were all the more shocked by the news that she passed away so suddenly.
Our thoughts are with you and your children, her parents and siblings and all friends. We wish you much strength in this difficult time, we will remember Leesa as a dear friend. May she rest in peace.
Your German friends Brigitte, Harald and Andrea

March 6, 2021 at 5:06 amI didn’t get to know Leesa as well as I did Bryce, but as I think back to being a 12 year old scout I loved when activities were held at their home. It always felt safe and fun and Leesa was always cracking jokes with us dorky kids.

March 6, 2021 at 8:54 pmFred, Susan and family,
We were so heartbroken to learn about Leesa passing. Although we haven’t seen her for many years, we remember she was always smiling and wanting to be so helpful. We watched the service this morning, and hearing all the wonderful things about her make the loss more devastating. It sounds like she followed in her grandmother Helen’s footsteps doing so much with her family. Please give our sympathy to her husband and children and grands. We send our love, sympathy and prayers to all of you! May God bless you all with peace knowing she lived a good life and will be rewarded. She is in the arms of many that love her.

March 7, 2021 at 7:01 pmDear Peterson’s, Jeff (Ashley’s brother) called me last night to tell me the horrible news. I never ever could see this coming. I am heartbroken that the incredible Leesa is no longer with us. She saved my life when she and Bryce agreed to take on Ashley. My prayers and love are with all the family.
