Larry David Creer, 80, of Spanish Fork, Utah, passed away October 28, 2023 in Provo, Utah, with his family by his side.
Larry was born September 22, 1943, in Spanish Fork, Utah, to Charles Clarence and Merl Dahle Creer. He was the 5″ child and only son. He grew up helping his dad on the farm in Lake Shore. He graduated from Spanish Fork High School and was active in FFA.
He married Sharon Atwood, daughter of Archie Dick and Darlene Keele Atwood, on October 14, 1964, in Spanish Fork. They were later sealed in the Provo Utah Temple on May 12, 2005.
They were blessed with 5 sons, Brian David, Troy Edward, Todd Richard, Brandon Lee and Justin Scott. Infant Todd passed away February 4, 1967.
Larry worked for the State of Utah at the Utah State Hospital as a mechanic. He was a handyman and loved to tinker in his yard and could fix anything.
His family loved to camp and hunt elk and deer each fall in the beautiful mountains of Utah. He and Sharon made several trips to Alaska to visit Brian and his family in the summer months. They fished for salmon and halibut and enjoyed it very much.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon, his sons Brian David (Susan) of Alaska, Troy Edward (Lori) of Utah, Brandon Lee (Erika) of Oregon, and Justin Scott (Marinda) of Utah and his sister Peggy Christianson. He was blessed with 11 grandchildren Kristopher, Zeth, Garrett, Jacob, Adam, Mitchell (Brooke), Landen, Malia, Kiersyn, Trent, and Oaklee. He also leaves behind five great grandchildren and one on the way he gets to meet before her arrival here on earth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son Todd, sisters Carol Tilley, Marilyn Cannon and Charlene Dolos.
In lieu of flowers. the family has requested to donate to a charity or cause of your choice.
Graveside services will be held on November 2, 2023 at 2pm at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery. Visitation at 12th Ward 300 E Center Street one hour prior to graveside service. With family lunch at church following service.
