Our beloved mother, LaRae McPhearson Gluch, passed away December 12, 2023 at the age of 94, in Spanish Fork, Utah. LaRae was born July 25, 1929, in Springville, Utah, to Floyd Hugh McPhearson and Adelia Kindred McPhearson. She grew up and attended schools in Springville, Utah with her two sisters.
She married Ivan Cornell Bissell on March 19, 1948. They have three children: Craig Bissell, Kim Bissell, and Keri Bissell Ostler. They lived in Utah, Colorado, and settled in Idaho, until his passing in 1968 when she moved back to her hometown of Springville, Utah.
LaRae worked as a hostess at Sage Inn, in a gift shop in Springville, and at ZCMI and BYU.
She met Ken Gluch. They married and moved back to Idaho. After his retirement, they enjoyed a life of traveling, golfing, and camping where they made lifelong friends. They would spend the winters in Arizona with their beloved friends. They also enjoyed spending time with their kids and grandchildren.
LaRae enjoyed gardening, painting, knitting, needlepoint, and was an avid reader. She moved back to Utah after Ken’s passing in 2018.
She was blessed and loved by her family. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
LaRae is survived by a blended family of 11 children, 23 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

At the request of LaRae, the family will be having a viewing on December 29, 2023 at Walker Funeral Home, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork, Utah, from 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery, 1997 South 400 East, Springville, Utah.
