Lael Moore Livestream Broadcast

Lael McKell Moore, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025, in Springville, Utah, at the age of 93.

Born on February 13, 1932, in Spanish Fork, Utah, Lael was the cherished daughter of Heber J. McKell and Cornelia De Groot. She grew up in Spanish Fork and graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1954 before attending Brigham Young University.

On February 12, 1953, Lael married the love of her life, Blaine H. Moore, in the Manti Utah LDS Temple. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and service.

Lael’s love of learning and children led her to a career in education, where she taught second grade in Spanish Fork, Utah, and Lynwood, California. She also nurtured her love of music by singing with the Choralettes choir, sharing her voice and joy with others.

She enjoyed gardening, traveling to visit family, and serving faithfully in the Provo and Payson LDS temples. Alongside her husband Blaine, she served an LDS mission in Tonga, working with schools and enriching the lives of many. A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lael served in numerous callings throughout her life, always with dedication and love.

Lael’s greatest focus was her family. She never missed a birthday, baptism, or wedding, and she attended concerts and family events whenever possible. Her presence was a constant source of love and support.

She is survived by her children: David (Delerie) Moore of Victorville, CA; Kathy (Kelly) Elmer of Highland, UT; Karen (Steve) Higginson of Casper, WY; Steven (Paula) Moore of Ely, NV; and Marianne (Douglas) Beazer of Bonner’s Ferry, ID. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and her siblings LaNon Turley, Lynn McKell, and Janeen Stone.

Lael was preceded in death by her husband, Blaine H. Moore.

A viewing will be held at Walker Funeral Home in Spanish Fork, Utah, located at 187 South Main Street, on December 15, 2025, from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest in her hometown of Spanish Fork, where her life began.

Lael’s legacy of faith, love, and devotion will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.

My deepest condolences to the Moores. Your mom was so sweet and I have such fond memories of my family going to Spanish Fork every summer to be with the McKell family and cousins. We had such a grand time. I hope you take comfort knowing she’s with Uncle Blaine and all her family who gone before. She was a lovely person and so kind. I know she’s having a grand reunion up above with all her loved ones.
