Kurt Lewis Provost, age 59, of Santaquin, was taken from us on April 28, 2023 in a tragic accident.
Kurt is the son of Jerry and LouAnn Provost. He grew up in Benjamin Utah and graduated from Spanish Fork High School. He completed a Certificate in Welding from Utah Technical College in Provo. A skill he used throughout his life.
Kurt loved the outdoors. His favorite pastimes were camping, boating, 4-wheeling, and hunting with his family and friends. After marrying his beloved wife Susan Hickman in 1987, they continued to go on many adventures adding three children and six grandchildren along the way. His grandchildren inherited his love of camping and would always ask when they were going again. He was making plans for retirement and wanted to travel in his 5th wheel across the States exploring each along the way.
Kurt was a man who loved all and would help anyone in need. He loved his family and friends but nothing compared to the love he had for his grandkids. Every family get together we would find him playing with them.
A jack of all trades, if it was broken he could fix it or figure out how to fix it. No project was too big. He was always willing to share his knowledge.
Kurt is survived by his wife Susan, son Trent Provost, daughter Kaylyn Curtis (Nick), daughter Taylor Provost (Gaby), his six beautiful grandchildren, Homero, Vivian, Adriel, William, Sydney, and Ivory, his mother and father, sister Jenice Allred (Kevin), brother Dan Provost (Janine), brother Wade Provost (Charline), and sister Amy Provost, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Kurt’s influence on this world will be felt for years.
A celebration of life open house for family and friends is planned for May 13 at Centennial Park, 300 W 100 S, Santaquin, UT from 1:30pm to 3:30pm. In case of inclement weather, the open house will be held at the church at 90 S 200 E, Santaquin, UT. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Primary Children’s Hospital. https://intermountainhealthcare.org/primary-childrens/give/

May 8, 2023 at 3:48 pmGonna miss you, Provost. Especially that big sneaky smile of yours. Gonna miss watching out for you jumping out behind the door or column to scare me half of the time. I will never forget when you scared Scotty Woodton half to death; that was funny as he**. We’ve always joked about what’s waiting for us on the other side, and how I kept saying that saying that some believed that 72 virgins are waiting for us, and you would say, “he** with that… they have no experience, and that you would prefer 72 whores instead.”LOL.
I hope not to offend anyone by sharing. I have known this great man for more than 17 years. Nothing in life will get him, even death. Gonna miss yal!
