Kristofer Garrett Vest passed away on the morning of December 23, 2021, after a lifelong struggle of mental illness.
Kris was born February 20, 1988, in Payson, Utah, to Chester Scott Vest and Debora Kay Davis. Kris graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 2006. He married Jessica Diaz, December 4, 2010.
Kris loved to hunt and fish, or anything that would get him to his happy place . . . the mountains. Being outdoors brought him peace and assurance in his life.
He was service oriented and always willing to help others. He was very humble about his life experiences and willing to use those examples as ways to uplift others. He took pride in his work. His knowledge of various skillsets benefited him and his family through various professional roles and service opportunities. Above everything, he loved his family most.
Kris is survived by his loving wife, Jessica Diaz; two beautiful kids, Tristan Vest (15) and Alexis Vest (9); his parents, Debora (Craig) Carter; and Chet Vest; siblings: Shon (Adrianne) Vest, Sam Vest, Cory (Lindsay) Vest, Sydney (Austen) Bills, Kalynn (Elianna) Carter, Thomas J. Carter, Chad Carter, and Cody (Jana) Carter; eight nieces and four nephews.
Family and friends are invited for a visitation Thursday, December 30, 2021, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork, Utah 84660. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
