Kristina Rebecca Nelson of Payson, Utah passed away on October 11, 2019 of complications related to a heart condition.
Kristina was born August 15, 1969 to Ronald J. and Karen Bradford Nelson. She grew up in Spanish Fork and graduated from Spanish Fork High School. She went on to graduate with her bachelor’s degree from Utah State University. Kristina spent her career as a customer service representative for Nature’s Way.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and spent her life serving in the Primary, Young Women, and Relief Society organizations in several different capacities. Kristina loved to travel, garden, and craft. She had a unique ability to make things beautiful and delighted in pretty things like flowers, bracelets and her home. Kristina led a beautiful life.
Although Kristina’s greatest physical weakness was her heart, her ability to love is her legacy. She was an adored friend, sister, and daughter. Kristina’s most beautiful and beloved treasures were her nieces and nephews. She cherished going to parades, events, and Disneyland with them. She loved to be with them every day, but especially on holidays. She gave them the best gifts and made sure that they each knew that she loved them “more than the highest number…ever”.
Kristina is survived by her father, Ronald J. Nelson of Santaquin. Her brother Jeffery (Cindy) Nelson of Payson and their children Breanna (Tyson) Schurtz, Katie (Tyler) Barton, Aubrey, and Kyle. Her brother Eric (JoDee) Nelson of Santaquin and their children Josie, Rylee, and Hadlee. Her sister Emily (Brian) Rowley of Santaquin and their children Nathan, Tyler, Karen, Hannah, Abby, Leah, and Sarah. Her sister Sara (Shawn) Ferriola of Roy and their daughter Isabella and others who considered her their aunt. She is preceded in death by her mother, Karen Bradford Nelson.
Her family wishes to thank the many doctors, nurses and caretakers who carried her through a very difficult time.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Greenridge Ward chapel, 711 South Peteetneet Blvd, Payson, Utah. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 587 South 100 West, Payson. A visitation will also be held prior to service from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
