Kira was born March 4, 1980 to Robert and Margo Rollins Nielson in Springville, Utah. She passed away July 19, 2019 at her home in Spanish Fork, Utah at age 39 from a 7 year valiantly fought battle with cancer.
She was raised and attended school in Payson, Utah.
Kira is survived by her husband, her daughter, her parents, a grandmother, 3 brothers, 10 nieces, 5 nephews, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Kira was talented in many things. She especially loved cooking, traveling, gardening, decorating, music, history, party planning, and serving others. She graduated from Payson High School and in the Fall of that same year received her Associates Degree from UVSC. She was smart, funny, and a nurturer. Kira served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints in the Toronto Canada Spanish speaking mission. Upon her return, Kira worked for a number of years at a software company in Springville. In 2010, she married the love of her life, Travis Marks for time and all eternity in the Mount Timpanogos Temple. Although she spent much of her married life battling cancer, she and her family traveled to many places around the globe. In all the hats she wore as a daughter, wife, mother, friend, companion, and confident she always did her very best. Her savior, Jesus Christ, husband Travis, and daughter were the focus and center of her life. She is and will continue to be very much missed until a future glorious reunion. Those that knew this sweet spirited daughter of Heavenly Father loved her. She has touched many lives for good.
