Kim Taylor Hudson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away suddenly on September 18, 2024, at the age of 70. Born on May 10, 1954, in Payson, Utah, she was the daughter of Glen and Maxine Blain Taylor.
Kim attended schools in Payson. After graduating from Payson High School in 1972, where she was Homecoming Queen, she received her certificate from Bryman’s School of Medical Assisting.
She married Bill Hudson, on June 1, 1974, and their union was later sealed in the Manti Temple on March 27, 1998. Together, they built a loving home, first in Sandy, Utah, then moving to Lake Shore in 1978 and then Spanish Fork in 1989, where they raised their two children, Maria and Jonathan.
Kim dedicated her life to her family and her work. After her children were in school, she began working in the school lunch program. As her children grew, she became the front office supervisor for FHP Healthcare and later the front office manager for the regional University of Utah Health Care Clinics. She then worked in the Nebo School District’s IT Department, retiring in 2016 after 16 years of dedicated service.
After retiring, she and Bill spent time traveling to many places, both in the country and around the world. They enjoyed serving in the baptistry of the Payson Temple and loved camping in the Utah mountains with their dog, Dani. She loved doing puzzles and was a great cook, often helping her grandkids make afterschool cookies. She also loved the time she spent being a “grandma” for Mrs. Farr’s Kindergarten class. Kim’s greatest joy was her family; she was a great supporter of her grandchildren, always present to cheer them on. She was also a devoted aunt, offering love and guidance to her nieces and nephews. Her family was the most important thing to her and always her first priority. She was quick to help with anything any of them needed.
Kim is survived by her husband, Bill; children Maria (Wes) Christensen and Jonathan (Katie) Hudson; grandchildren Delaney (Austin) De Graw, Cooper Christensen, Emery Christensen, and Hazel, Violet, and Grey Hudson; great-granddaughter Dottie De Graw; her brother, Glen (Janet) Taylor; and in-laws Brent Johns, Sue Hudson, Lynette Neff, Trina Ellis, and Roger (Carol) Hudson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Sarah Johns, and brothers-in-laws Tom Hudson, Ed Neff, and Ron Ellis.
The family would like to thank the wonderful EMTs and Emergency Room staff at Spanish Fork Hospital for their valiant efforts.
Funeral services will be held Monday September 23rd at 11:00 am at the Spanish Fork West Stake center located at 575 W 400 N in Spanish Fork Utah. Viewing services will be held Sunday September 22, at 6:00 pm at Walker Funeral Home located at 187 S Main Street in Spanish Fork and Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the church before the funeral services.

September 21, 2024 at 4:21 amMaria, I loved working with your mom at the High School in the school lunch! Her and I always got stuck doing the mopping!! We used to laugh at that and realized it was because we were the youngest women with the strongest backs!! I am so sorry that she is gone! My prayers are with you and your family at this sad time. I hope you will remember the love she had for you and your children!

September 21, 2024 at 2:35 pmMy heart is heavy with this news. Kim always got me out of some computer jam. Kim was all that is beautiful in this world. We always were so busy to talk, our jobs were crazy at times, but I always ended our call with, “love ya, bye”. It became something we did! Kim, “love ya, bye. Thank you for your kindness and your beautiful smile throughout my career at Nebo. The world is a little more dark today. Sending love and prayers to your family!
