January 7, 2020 at 11:18 pmKent Beaudry: In the two years during Fruit season that I got to know Kent Beaudry, I grew to love & admire his ability to find the good people had in them, including in me (Jill), my Son (Riley), my Dad (Carl) & my daughter (Kira). But his kind, gentle, humble way in which he conducted his life was widespread.
Though he battled with daily migraines and debilitating pain, he found a kind word for anyone who came to the peach stand.
He defended those he loved and loved those he defended.
Kent would tell me daily of his love for my Dad, who happened to work as his plant manager and fellow coworker. He always asked how he was doing and then told anyone he could how much he loved and appreciated Carl Butler for the way he treated him, and how understanding he was as Kent dealt with challenges. He took every opportunity to tell others of the good he saw in those he knew.
Kent always looked outward when he so easily could have looked inward.
I loved working with him, and so did my Son Riley, my daughter Kira and my Dad, Carl.
When people described him, the words they usually used included: “what a great soul” or “such a good heart” or “He is such a kind man.”
I loved listening to him speak of his deep and abiding love he held for his beautiful wife, Marta, or his Son, Christian who dealt with his own set of challenges, or his angel daughter’s.
He got teary eyed when he spoke of his deceased Mother, and how much her example influenced his life and how he missed her. I loved watching him interact with all people in a humble and respectful manner.
The way his children and wife looked at him, was with love and concern.
If I could tell him anything, it would be, that though I could see his daily struggles & sympathized with his terrible trials, oh how grateful I was for him, and to let him know how I wish I could have been more perceptive to his needs and show greater appreciation for his efforts & goodness.
His example won’t be wasted on me, as I will strive to be more gentle and kind even among hardships.
His family will forever have educated hearts because of his loving influence and his undying love & admiration for his wife & children.
