Kent Dean Vincent ‘Cowboy Kent’ Feb 9 1958 – Dec 24 2024
From the day Kent was born, he has been an underdog with a desire to give life all that he could to make others happy, make new friends, and make the most of his talents and interests.
Kent spent most of his life on the family farm in Spanish Fork originally homesteaded by his Vincent ancestors. He loved to work hard alongside his father, uncle, and other family members. He also loved a good rodeo and assisted for many years at the Spanish Fork
Rodeo Grounds and wherever someone indicated that he was needed. He had a great love for horses and the outdoors. He loved to be around the Diamond Fork Riding Club and we appreciate them including him and allowing him to live his dream. He spent some time at the Parelli’s Equestrian ranch and loved following them. This had a great impact on him and his interactions with the world.
Kent has a great love for tools – he loved to show up at a job with the correct tools and if he needed a different tool, he would have it the next day. He loved working with contractors building homes and doing other projects.
Over the past several years since his parents passed away, he has loved his opportunities to serve on the grounds of the Payson Ut Temple as well as on a ranch in Fairfield Utah watching over several hundred head of cattle.
Kent is a friend to many and would often call his friends and family to provide quick updates of events in his life as well as coordinating time to get together. He was very blessed by many friends in the ward and neighborhood who gladly welcomed him into their homes and family
gatherings.
There are too many friends and family to name. We appreciate you very much and there aren’t enough words to adequately express our appreciation for your help in making Kent’s life special.
Kent is preceded in death by his parents Dean and Shirley Vincent. He is survived by his siblings Brent (Judy), Sherrie (Jeff), Tracy, and Dena (Don), several aunts, an uncle, and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. He will truly be missed by all!
All of Kent’s friends are invited to a viewing on Sunday December 29th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the LDS Chapel at 1911 E 1850 S in Spanish Fork. Funeral Services will be at the same location at 11 am on Monday December 30th with a viewing before from 9:30 to 10:45.

December 30, 2024 at 4:57 pmCowboy Kent was a good friend of ours when we lived in Spanish Fork. He bought my son his first roping head and brought a bale of straw for him to practice roping with. We actually set him up on a couple of dates with my aunt. He was truly an amazing man! He loved everyone and always willing to help whenever needed! We love and will miss you Cowboy Kent!!
