Ken was born in Van Nuys, CA on June 16, 1965, to Jay and Carol Goold. Ken had three older brothers Grant, Phil, and Brian. Soon thereafter, Ken became the older brother to Mike, Mark, and Russ. Seven boys in 10 years!
Ken was born with Russell-Silver syndrome (RSS), a rare congenital growth disorder. In the 1970s, he was among a limited group of children who received daily injections of human growth hormone derived from donated pituitary glands. Ken’s sacrifice as a test patient helped pave the way for future generations to receive synthetic growth hormone treatments. Ken’s parents devoted hundreds of hours traveling to San Francisco, CA to meet with doctors who tracked Ken’s health and growth.
Despite various educational struggles associated with RSS, Ken developed a “can-do” and positive attitude. Ken graduated from Mira Loma High School in Sacramento, CA and earned his Eagle Scout award. Ken served a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Tennessee.
Ken was an avid San Fracisco 49ers fan and loved to buy 49ers memorabilia. Ken loved Diet Coke. In 2008, Ken ran the St. George marathon. Ken enjoyed pheasant hunting with his brothers and nephews. Ken was the source of many stories from these eventful trips.
Ken worked hard at many different jobs throughout his life ranging from driving a CAT 980 bulldozer at Woodland Biomass to production line work at Western Liberty Foods.
In early 2010, Ken met Amee Dewey at a Church dance where Amee was clearly impressed with his energetic dancing skills. In December 2010, Ken and Amee married and began life together with their furry children. Ken and Amee lived in Eagle Mountain and Tremonton, Utah. Ken did not have any children but was a fun Uncle to numerous nephews and nieces. In 2022, Ken retired due to medical reasons.
On August 20, 2026, Ken passed peacefully surrounded by his wife, Amee, and family members at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden, UT following a valiant battle with multiple organ failure and a massive stroke. Ken is proceeded in death by his parents, Jay and Carol Goold, and his nephew, Hunter Goold.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem, Utah.
