Ken W. Batt October 8, 1944 - June 9, 2024

Ken W Batt, age 79, passed away peacefully on June 9th, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.

Born on October 8th, 1944 in the small town of Cedar City, Utah, Ken grew up with a loving family that instilled in him the values of hard work and integrity from a young age. His parents were his first teachers, showing him the importance of diligence, honesty, and the joy of helping others. Ken’s life was enriched by simple pleasures. He enjoyed the company of good friends, the satisfaction of a hard day’s work, and spending time with his   family at his Newcastle property.

Ken’s heart was as big as the open fields he tended to, where he raised cows with the same care and dedication he showed in all aspects of his life. His acts of kindness, often done quietly and without recognition, left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Ken is preceded in death by his parents Wells Joseph Batt and Neta Mortensen Batt, and nephew Todd Harold Orton. He is survived by his brother Jack Batt, sister Twyla Jean Fallows, nieces Jackie (Jedd) Olsen, Randi (Mike) Williams, and Becca (Chris) Simmons; great-nieces Jourdyn (Jason) Abplanalp, McKenzie (Mike) LeBaron, Tailyr (Tyler) Rothe, Irelyn (Davin) Jamison, Cali Orton, Sawyer and Layla Simmons; nephews Kyler (Lindsay) Orton, Tait and Talon Simmons. Although Ken never married or had children of his own, his life was rich with the love of family. He was a devoted uncle to his nieces and nephews, who brought him immense joy. Ken also leaves behind many close friends and colleagues who will miss him dearly.

Ken’s journey through this life was characterized by hard work, unwavering kindness, and a profound love for his family and friends. As we bid farewell to a life lived with purpose, a heart filled with love, and a legacy of generosity and dedication, we hope you know that your spirit of hard work and boundless love will live on in our hearts forever. We love you!
