Kathie Ann Haws November 18, 1957 - July 13, 2021

Kathie Ann Llewellyn Haws, passed away on July 13, 2021, in Provo, Utah, with family by her side. She was born in Payson, Utah, to Leo Max and Betty Llewellyn, on November 18, 1957.

Kathie enjoyed camping and gymnastics growing up; her family took lots of vacations every year to different places. Kathie loved watching her younger, twin brothers wrestle. She was the third of seven siblings.

Kathie and Daniel “Danny” Grant Haws were married on June 8, 1974, having been high school sweethearts. They fostered many children, until they had their first child, Misty, in 1985. Then, Todd was adopted in 1987; followed by the blessing of their third child, Danielle, in 1989; their fourth child, Alex, came along in 1990;  and their fifth child, Ashley, in 1992. Kathie lived for her kids. She was a grandmother and lived for her grandkiddos, just as much as she did for her children. Her grandchildren loved her dearly. Her younger grandkids were so close with her, they had to call her, or go see her, daily. They loved going to, and having sleepovers with, grandma and grandpa.

She worked as a caregiver at USDC for 22 years. USDC was like her second family. Everyone there knew how big a heart she had. Kathie was a selfless person, who was always thinking of others.

Kathie is survived by her husband, Danny Haws; her mother, Betty Llewellyn; children: Todd Haws, Danielle Brockbank, Alex Haws, Ashley Sorenson; daughter in-law, Whitney Haws; son in-law, Robert Montgomery; son in-law, Phil Brockbank. Also survived by her beloved grandkids: Owen Whisper, Allie, McCoy, Raina, and Athena, as well as her brothers and sisters; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Max Llewellyn; her oldest daughter, Misty Haws; two of her grandchildren: Haylie, and Annberlynn; her grandparents; plus many aunts and uncles.
