Joyce Leon Reynolds Dozier June 7, 1941 - January 4, 2020

Joyce Leon (Reynolds) Dozier, age 78, joined her heavenly family on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at her home in Spanish Fork, Utah.  She was born June 7, 1941, Melton Township, Jefferson County, Arkansas to Garland and Ruby (Taylor) Reynolds.  She was one of nine children.

Joyce married Ben Arthur Dozier on June 1, 1962 and was sealed to him for time and all eternity on August 9, 1967 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.  She and Ben have four precious children who are sealed to them for all eternity:  Stacey Thomas (Duwaine) Melissa, TX; Jana Vance (Regan) Mapleton, UT; Joy Metten (Joseph) Mapleton, UT; Brent Dozier (Jamie) Redfield, AR; grandparents of 14; great grandparents of 11.  She loved her family more than anything else in the world.  They were her greatest source of love, happiness, contentment, and fun.

Joyce received her BSE from Arkansas Teacher’s College in 1965.  She taught in the public school system for 20 years.  She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings and capacities throughout her life.  She prayed always for God to help her overcome her faults, weaknesses, and imperfections.  Two of her most favorite hymns/religious songs were Amazing Grace and Wings of a Dove.

Joyce hopes to be remembered as a kind and generous person willing always to share and help others.  She is survived by her husband, Ben Arthur Dozier of 57 years, her children, and her brothers, Diose Reynolds, Glynn Reynolds, Troy Reynolds and sister, Jan (Reynolds) Peers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1167 South 1700 East, Spanish Fork, Utah.  Friends and family are invited to attend a pre-funeral gathering at the same location from 10:00-10:45 a.m.

Joyce is my grandma. She was always there at every basketball game and track meet. She was there when I was baptized and encouraged me to serve Christ as a missionary. She was always thinking and worrying about everyone other than herself. You will be missed greatly grandma. Until we meet again, I’ll try to live the rest of my life following your example of Christ-like love. I will also remember you anytime I hear yodeling.

    Love, your grandson.
