Joshua Chad Fuell, of Payson, Utah, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026. He was a lifelong example of kindness, quiet service, faith, and love, and his passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of all who knew him. Josh was exceptionally intelligent, with a quick mind and thoughtful perspective, and he brought joy to those around him through his wonderful sense of humor.
Josh was born on April 6, 1976, in American Fork, Utah, to Susan Rasmussen and Loran Fuell. He often found special meaning in sharing a birthday with the Savior. He was raised in Marana, Arizona, where he was lovingly cared for by his grandparents, Zamona “Beeba” Fuell and Justin “Jack” Fuell, who played an important role in his life and upbringing. After graduating from high school, Josh attended the University of Arizona.
On March 21, 2003, Josh married the love of his life, Marie Clair, in Newport, Oregon. Together, they built a beautiful life centered on faith, family, and devotion to one another. They were blessed with three incredible sons, Kyle, Karson, and Kody, who were truly his greatest joy and proudest accomplishment. On April 13, 2024, Josh and his family were sealed for time and all eternity in the Payson Utah Temple, an experience that meant everything to him.
Josh had a deep love for the gospel of Jesus Christ and found great peace and happiness serving in the temple alongside Marie, as well as serving together as service missionaries. Attending the temple regularly became one of the greatest blessings in his life, and he cherished every opportunity to serve and uplift others there.
Josh had a quiet but remarkable way of noticing the needs of those around him. Whether through a kind word, an act of service, or simply showing up when someone needed support, he consistently put others before himself. He had a compassionate heart, a steady presence, and a genuine desire to help wherever he could.
Even in passing, Josh continued to bless the lives of others through the selfless gift of organ donation, a decision that reflected the generous and giving person he was throughout his life.
Josh is survived by his devoted wife, Marie, and their sons, Kyle, Karson, and Kody; his parents, Susan Peterson and Loran Fuell; and his siblings: Brooke (Jason) Thompson, Jamie (James) Henderson, Parker (Cassie) Peterson, Ben (Mandi) Fuell, Apryl (Brian) Bradford, and Elisha (Cory) Nielsen. He also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who loved him deeply and will miss him immensely.
Friends and family are invited to attend a viewing on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1080 South 930 West, Payson, Utah. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Payson City Cemetery, 400 North 800 East, Payson, Utah.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Walker Funeral Home to help the family during such a tender time.

May 31, 2026 at 4:01 amI am deeply saddened by the loss of Brother Fuell. He was a kind and beautiful man. As a convert to the faith, it can feel scary navigating a new way of life. Brother and Sister Fuell made me feel valued and safe. I will always remember going to the Temple with them and seeing the great joy the Temple brought to Josh’s life. May God’s love and grace wash over the entire Fuell family and all those suffering from this loss. Brother, I know you are at peace with the Lord, and you are in my prayers. I thank you, it was a gift knowing you.

June 1, 2026 at 4:05 pmDear Marie and family,
Marie and I are deeply saddened at the loss of your dear husband and father, and a very dear friend.
When we moved to the neighborhood, you guys were the first ones to welcome us with a delicious loaf of bread.
For me I am grateful to have had the blessing these past 6 months of serving with Josh in the Sunday School. He was always so eager to serve and help out in any way.
It was always a pleasure to see you both every Saturday morning at the temple and get a bear hug from him.
Marie and I are saddened at this loss and our prayers are with you and your family.
May the peace that comes from above be with you all at this time.
Love, Layne & Marie Miller

June 2, 2026 at 1:20 amJosh was a kind soul. Being recently introduced as a new missionary in the Family Search VROC mission, Josh reached out to me to offer support and guidance. He kindly met with me one day to share his technical approach to our work and really helped me figure out what I was doing.
Since that time he frequently contacted me to offer additional guidance on mission matters, so I could be more effective in my efforts. He was officially assigned to support me, so offered that help simply because that’s who he is!
God bless the Fuell family and friends!
