It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of Joseph Talbot Bowles, a caring and generous man who touched the lives of so many during his short time here on Earth. Joseph was born on November 20, 1992, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the youngest of five children to Don and Debi Bowles. Joseph passed away unexpectedly on December 3, 2023, shortly after his 31st birthday. His larger-than-life presence and unwavering kindness will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
Although Joseph cared about everyone he met, he was, above all else, a deeply devoted husband and father. He first met and fell in love with Anoe Diaz Maria in the summer of 2017 while working at Lagoon Amusement Park and on September 10, 2019, Alma Magdalena Bowles was born. Joseph and Anoe were married on March 20, 2021, and together, they worked tirelessly to create a beautiful life for their daughter and their young family in Ogden, Utah.
As a very social person in life, Joseph seemed to make friends everywhere he went. He had so many people that he cared deeply about from both Utah and Arizona and as an adult, he made many more close friends who now live all over the world. All these friends meant so much to Joseph and we appreciate the outpouring of support from all of them during this difficult time.
Joseph is survived by his parents, Don and Debra Bowles; wife, Anoe Diaz Maria; daughter, Alma; brothers, Ben, and Andy (Downy). He was preceded in death by his brother, Joshua and sister, Breeana.
In these difficult times, we invite you to share your memories and upload photos of Joseph on his memorial page. His story is not just about the dates of his birth and death, but about the journey between. A journey filled with love, laughter, and a deep compassion for others. Sharing and remembering these moments allows us to celebrate the remarkable life that Joseph lived.
“Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.” – Mother Teresa

December 7, 2023 at 5:49 amJoey, My heart goes out to you and your family. There are no words that are suitable, or can explain the feeling of loss. I pray that your loved ones can find peace and rest through our lord Jesus Christ. Your friendly and enthusiastic personality made you a joy to be around. I’ll never forget the shenanigans we got into during high school and the years after. You’re a good friend. Your passing is a wake up call for me, to realize just how fast life can change. I wish the best for you, and hope to see you in the next life, walking on Gods golden roads. God bless you and your family.

December 7, 2023 at 9:37 pmDear Joseph, even now I can’t accept that you’re gone, it’s like I’m still in a horrible dream from which I can’t wake up. You had so much love left to give, to your family, your wife, your daughter, and your friends. It hurts me deeply to know that you won’t be with us anymore. My God, what a profound sadness. Oh God, give strength to those of us who remain here and witness your departure. We try to be strong, but accepting it is not easy.

December 8, 2023 at 2:21 pmJoseph had a huge impact on anyone he met. He was kind hearted, understand and extremely loving. He will be missed and while it had been quite some time since I spoke to him, my heart if heavy and he was too young to leave us so soon. I know his legacy will carry on through his beautiful wife and daughter. ❤️

January 24, 2024 at 7:40 pmWhen we heard about Joseph’s passing on SUN, 1-21-24, we were greatly saddened to see that you two, Don and Debi, had lost another one of your 5 precious children and that he was taken much too early from you and his young wife and little daughter. We are so grateful that we were able to watch the wonderful memorial service instantly so we too could rejoice with you in his special light and life as your son, a young husband and father, a brother, a family member, and a friend to all who knew him. Thank you for having this available to us family and friends that had not yet heard of your tragedy of losing Joseph. You are all in our fervent prayers knowing how much you will need great comfort in your time of such immense grief. May you feel God’s comfort and healing now and always, and know that He is preparing for your forever family to be together again.
With love always,
Bruce & Cindy Bowles
