Joseph Manzolini Livestream

Joseph Charles Manzolini, 82, returned to his heavenly father and to join his beloved wife on June 23, 2022. His devotion to his family and church was unspeakable. He had a strong belief in God which gave him peace in his mind with many medical struggles he faced most of his life.

Joseph was born to the late Dominick Manzolini and Delphina Giordano, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, on August 2, 1940. He was immersed in the Catholic community that would be his lifelong support from an early age.

While in the Army in Italy, he met his soon to be wife Carmela Pelosato.  He married Carmela in Vicenza, Italy on May 20, 1961. They had one child named Michael Joseph Manzolini. He was a devoted father as well as a Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, Boston Bruins, and Sacramento Kings fan. He joined the Army then Air Force. He was medically discharged sooner than he expected. He worked as a civil service employee for the US Government for over 40 years. His first assignment was at Fallon NAS in Nevada. After a few years he moved to North Highlands, California at McClellan AFB until the base closure in 1999, which he finally moved to Hill AFB, Utah with his family. He retired in 2009.

Joseph is survived by his son, Michael, daughter-in-law, Sun Yong Kim,  Grandkids, Dolton, Meisha, Jessica, Briana, and their spouses, John, Kory, and Dani. Great-grand kids, Kaylee, Kaden, Kennady and Cash. Nieces, Loretta and husband Walter, their children Elisa and Irene, Adriana and husband Paolo and their children Riccardo and Anna. Nephew, Gianpietro and wife Vannia, their child Alice. And Carmela’s brothers and sisters, Beppino, Tina and Lidia. Also his sister Barbara, brother Donald and their kids.

We loved him, he was a true example to all of us no matter how sick he was, he kept himself busy mentally and physically. We will miss him greatly. He left a special legacy for all of our families, which we will always remember.

Joseph’s viewing will be July 9, 2022, from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. both at Washington Heights Church, 1770 East 6200 South, Ogden, Utah 84405.  Joseph will be buried at 2:30 p.m. at the Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery with Military Honors, at 275 U Street, Salt Lake City, Utah 84103.
