John Steven McPheeters, 68, was born September 2, 1950 in Salt Lake City, UT. He passed away on May 29, 2019 in Spanish Fork, UT. He is the beloved son of Leonard Harry McPheeters and Lida Margaret (Waugaman) McPheeters.
He lived in Salt Lake City until 1956 when his family moved to southern California. He attended El Rancho High School, Pico Rivera, CA. Later in his life he moved to Spanish Fork, Utah where he enjoyed the beautiful Wasatch Mountains. He loved his 55 Chevy Bel Aire.
John worked for and retired from Stauffer’s Foods. He was young at heart and had a kind disposition. He was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Leonard Harry McPheeters, Jr.; and a sister, Carol Ann McPheeters. He is survived by sisters, Janice Barber, Susan Bastian, Deborah Kay Rice; and numerous nieces and nephews. John is also survived by many good friends who were like family.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery, 1997 South 400 East, Springville, UT.
