John M. Miller Sr., born June 12, 1939, in Black Moshannon, Pennsylvania, passed away at the age of 86. He was the son of Frank and Mary Elenor Miller.
John spent his early years in Pennsylvania before moving to California, where he attended Nordoff High School in Ojai. It was in Ojai that he married Sherry on October 6, 1957. Later in life, he married Joyce Diamond, with whom he shared many years.
Following high school, John enlisted in the United States Navy, serving his country with dedication. His time in the Navy instilled in him discipline and a strong sense of responsibility that carried through the rest of his life.
After his service, John eventually settled in Springville, Utah, which became his longtime hometown. He was known among family and friends as someone who valued hard work, community, and family connections.
John is survived by his children, John M. Miller Jr. and Tammie Van Marter, along with six grandchildren who brought him great pride. His family remembers him as a steady presence in their lives, someone who encouraged them and celebrated their milestones.
He will be remembered for his devotion to family, his years of service, and the many stories he shared from his life’s journey.
