John Hyrum Daniels passed away unexpectedly on May 17, 2022. He was born February 12, 2001 in Provo, Utah to John Aaron Daniels and Stephanie Holleman. Hyrum was raised by his parents: mother, Stephanie Holleman; father, Aaron Daniels; stepmother, Amber Daniels; and stepfather Darren Ringel. Hyrum graduated from Salem Hills High School in 2020 with certifications in welding and then worked manufacturing safes.
Hyrum is preceded in death by his grandmother Cyndy Daniels. He is survived by his parents; his siblings: Austin, Wyatt, McKenna, Isaac, and Sarah; his grandparents: Stephen Holleman, Robin Keifer, John Daniels, Stephen Sharp, and DeLoa Sharp; his remaining great-grandparent: Lorna Snow; his aunts and uncles: Josh (Marie) Holleman, Andrea Holleman, Emily (Aaron) Cowan, Ben (Wendy) Daniels, Grant (Loni) Daniels, Jeremy (Heather) Sharp, Corey (Trina) Sharp, Alex Sharp, Michelle (Zach) Prince; the Wall’s; and a host of other family and cousins.
Hyrum had a kind and gentle demeanor and was always looking for ways to help others and serve. He was a great big brother to each of his siblings. Hyrum was a loyal and dedicated friend. Hyrum had a love for growing things and enjoyed cultivating plants of all kinds; a hobby that he picked up while working with the Brighton’s, friends he considered family. Hyrum loved reading, the outdoors, camping in hammocks, hiking, and the beach. We are better for having known Hyrum and he will be sorely missed.
Family and friends may attend a visitation Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 9:30-10:45 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. both located at the Church Building, 274 South Main Street, Payson, Utah. Luncheon following the service: 12:00pm Memorial Park 200 South Main St. Payson Utah.

May 20, 2022 at 10:35 pmI’m sure you’re all devastated. I am heartbroken and I know I didn’t have anywhere near the connection to Hyrum that you all did. What I remember about Hyrum is that he was kind and patient in the interactions I saw him in. We had our kids together a few times when they were young and then as young teenagers. Always respectful, helpful and kind. I love you all.

May 21, 2022 at 11:02 amSuch a profound and devastating loss for all who were touched by Hyrum’s light. I last saw Hyrum on April 30th at a Daniels family celebration. It struck me at the time what a lovely young man he had become. There are no words to express the heartache I feel for his family having to endure such a loss. May God comfort and keep you until you are together again.
