Joan Mae Wilberg, age 85, passed peacefully from this life into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on October 29th, 2023 at her home surrounded by family. She was born in Spanish Fork, Utah on October 11th, 1938 to Russell Ivan and Lilly Mae West Hammon.

Joan attended schools in Spanish Fork, Utah, graduating from Spanish Fork High School. She worked as a waitress in the hospitality industry at The 24 hour Cafe, Coffee Cup, and Browns Cafe just to name a few. Later she worked at Skyview Cafe where she met her Sweetheart Reece Wilberg. She loved working at the Wash Tub where she worked for many, many, many years until she retired.

Joan loved being with her grand-children and great grand-children. She loved to go camping, fishing, and hunting with her daddy which she later enjoyed with her children and grand-children. You could always find her tending to her immaculate yard and her flowers, decorating her yard for the holidays, or making crafts for her grand-children.

Joan was a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was very passionate about various callings in the church, especially working with the youth in the Primary.

Joan married Darrell William Stevenson and were later divorced. She married Reece Austin Wilberg on May 6, 1972. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti Utah Temple on September 27, 1980.

Joan is survived by her two Sons and two Daughters: Darrell H. (Richelle) Stevenson, Jim Reece (Mindee) Wilberg, and Robin (Steve) Archibald and Merrillee Hunt. 28 Grandchildren and 20 Great-Grandchildren. I am so sad to hear of Joan’s passing. The Wilberg family is deeply woven into my childhood. From Tony and Jim as high schoolers, being in primary with Joan and Reece, and tuna sandwiches with Ashlie on hot summer days. My thoughts are with you all. Joan say hi to grandma and grandpa for me.
