It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Jesse Bart Haycock, age 61, on April 7, 2025, in Payson, Utah. Loved by so many, he is survived by his wife Sabrina Haycock and two daughters Lydia (Kyle) Nelson and Jennifer Haycock, his sister Laurie Sabin, brother Cheyenne Haycock (Sally Dell), aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Martha Boneen Mattinson and Franklin Dee Haycock and by many other loved ones.
Jesse was raised in Spanish Fork and graduated from Spanish Fork High School. He went on to earn two art degrees and his work was featured in various art shows throughout his life. Jesse married the love of his life Sabrina Ilene Elliott on June 12, 1985, and remained together for 40 years until his passing.
Jesse was a gentle loving man to his family, friends, and anyone lucky enough to cross his path. Jesse loved being with his family and friends and enjoyed many hobbies and activities. He was most notably known for his passion for Bigfoot research, and squatching. He was a true adventurer and spent as much of his free time as possible camping, fishing, off-roading, and exploring the High Uinta Mountains. He had a deep love for music and enjoyed jamming out with his guitar.
Jesse has always been known as a dedicated, loyal, and hard-working man. He dismantled railroad tracks by hand prior to being fully employed as a sub-contractor at Geneva Steel until the closing of the plant. Jesse and his family then relocated to California, becoming property and maintenance managers from 1999-2010. For the past ten years, he has been employed at Rocky Mountain ATV as an Inventory Control Specialist. Jesse thoroughly loved his role at RM and the long-lasting friendships he made.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Walker Funeral Home located at 587 South 100 West in Payson, Utah. Visitation will be prior from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Payson City Cemetery, 400 North 800 East, Payson, Utah. For those attending Jesse’s funeral, we’re asking people to dress nice but not overly formal…business casual, nice jeans are okay. He wasn’t a super formal kind of guy, but we want to still have it be nice.
There will also be visitation on Friday, April 11, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family greatly appreciates donations towards Jesse’s funeral expenses. Please make donations to Venmo @LNCreates:

April 10, 2025 at 4:04 amI was shocked when I heard the news. It wouldn’t feel right without saying what a kind soul he was. One of the most genuine people you’d ever meet. I can’t even put into words what he did for me. I’ll always treasure talking about music and concerts, and ghosts and true crime and bigfoot and hiking and adventure for hours with so many tasks to do and not enough time to do it lol. I hope you know you’ve changed my life for the better, and shaped me into a better person just by knowing you. Rest easy, you were what all of us try to be. ❤️🩹 you are so loved.
