November 11, 2023 at 7:11 pmFor more than 40 years you and your family were neighbors and friends. Even in our professional relationship and irrespective of our friendship, I always knew that those involved in per se hearings we’re going to get an honest and fair a hearing. Thank you for your service in the bishopric, Sunday school and all of the other positions you held in the ward. But must of all, thank you for you and Erma being such a great friends and neighbors! ‘What a glorious reunion it must’ve been with Erma and Jerry! We enjoyed watching your family grow. You must be incredibly proud of your children and all of the grandchildren. Rest well dear friend. Thank you for many years of service in law-enforcement and the fire service. You are a hero!

November 11, 2023 at 8:56 pmThe Buys family has always been woven throughout our lives. What an amazing family that has always been loving, and welcoming. Jerry and Erma would have a way of making you feel special. One of my memories is of Jerry being in control of me getting my drivers license. I felt comfortable and more at ease with him. Even after almost hitting a sidewalk bike rider when I turned right, he smiled and still authorized me to pass. A small insignificant thing to remember but his kindness endeared me to him from then on. We are grateful for the knowledge that he is with Erma. Jerry lives because Christ lives.
