Jennie Lou Taylor Lucas March 8, 1959 - November 30, 2018

Heaven gained another angel, November 30, 2018. She was our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, auntie, niece, and cousin, our beloved Jennie Lucas.

Jennie was born March 8, 1959 in Lehi, Utah to Keith Lowell and Jean Jackson Taylor. She was the younger of twins and they were the oldest of eight children.

She attended K-10 in Spanish Fork. When her father passed away in 1976, the family moved to Payson and she graduated Payson High School in 1978.

May 18, 1979, she married the love of her life, Dick W. Lucas, who already had two children, Audrey and Heather. Together, they had four more; Melissa, Amber, Amanda and Valorie.

In 1989, they moved to Las Vegas. Jennie worked as a cashier. She was a hard and dedicated worker, never missing a shift. Even with her illness, she was still concerned about getting back to work. She had a strong sense of responsibility and did not want to slack.

Her life was full with 17 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and another great grandchild on the way. Jennie loved being a Grandma. It was her favorite part about her life…along with taking pictures of her loved ones. She loved taking and receiving pictures. She would then scan them and make copies to give to everyone.

In 2015, she was diagnosed with uterine cancer, which she was treated for. But sadly, it came back with a vengeance. After losing her husband in May, 2018, she was consumed with grief and did not have the fight needed to battle the cancer. Although she wasn’t ready and didn’t want to leave her family, she did want to be with her husband. They are back together again. They had a love so strong not even death could keep them apart. Their life wasn’t perfect, but their love for each other was. It was a true love that overflowed and benefitted their children and grandchildren greatly. There was even enough of that love for extended friends and family, as well.

She is survived by her daughters, Audrey (Lawrence), Heather, Melissa (Michael), Amber (Ben), Amanda (Armando), and Valorie. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Mckenzie, Megan, Koda, Zachary, Grayden, Felicia, Cyre, Bryan, Ariel, Jessie, Alaxendar, Kennedy, Mia, Kori, Brinleigh, and Ynnez; siblings, Jane, Linda, Ricky, (Seglinda), Hank, John (Barb), Kim (Kelly); mother-in-law, Melba; and many nieces and nephews .

She is preceded in death by her father, Keith; mother, Jean; father-in-law, Jack; husband, Dick, and granddaughter, Brooklyn.
