It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our father Jefferie Ray Harris, who left us on July 16, 2024, at the age of 63, following many years with battling chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. He was surrounded by his loving family in his final moments.
Jeff was born on October 17, 1960, in Provo, Utah to Ray Percy Harris and Jean King Harris. He is the youngest child of 6 children.
Throughout Jeff’s life he worked construction and was a stucco worker. He enjoyed being in the mountains, hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. He also enjoyed watching Nascar Racing.
Through his years of battling his disease his youngest daughter Ashley became his caregiver for 17 years and as his disease progressed his ex-wife Jeannie also helped their daughter care for Jeff’s needs.
Jeff’s children are grateful for the relationship that their parents had with each other through the years their memories of their dad, Jeff are as follows:
Nathan: Going fishing when I was little and catching a lot of catfish. I was so excited to reel one in, it was as big as me.
Elisha: Fun times camping at the Sand Dunes. We had a porta potty that I would pull to find a spot to use it and dad would help me with that task.
Ashley: Dad would wake up Elisha and I to go road hunting, we would stand up in the back of his truck and tap on the roof to let him know we spotted a deer.
Jackson: Dad took me catfishing when I was little, I was reeling in a catfish as big as me and right when I got it to shore the line snapped and dad jumped in and grabbed it. We were both so excited and happy.
Seth: All the good times we had camping and hunting, trips up Sheep Creek and White River. Also sometimes going to work with dad doing stucco with him and cousin Terry.
Jeff is survived by his children, Nathan (Catherine) Harris, Elisha (Jared) Harris, Ashley (Mitch) Davis, Jackson Harris and Seth (Amy) Skinner. His grandchildren, Braxton, Cameron, Brooklyn, Tytan, Boston, Hudson, Kadence, Kynzle, Rylie, and Braelynn. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, and sisters, cousins, nephews, nieces, and grandparents.
