Jeannine Taylor Nelson passed away on July 18, 2023, in Kaysville, Utah. She was born on January 13, 1936, to Oran Edward and Jennie Topham Taylor.
She graduated from Payson High School in 1954. Jeannine married Elden Kent Nelson on July 2, 1961, in Ely, Nevada and they raised three children. When the kids got older she went to work at Wasatch Bank in Orem where she worked for several years and was promoted to Operations Officer. She later went to work for Zions Bank in the commercial loan department.
After retiring from the bank, Jeannine and her husband became full time RV’rs and enjoyed traveling. They spent the winters in the south and summers in Utah. She enjoyed fishing, camping, golfing, and riding the 4×4 with her husband. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. She was often asked to sing at parties and other gatherings.
She is survived by her children: Joni Lynn (Bob) Pratt of Kaysville, Jeffrey Kent (Shannon) Nelson of Fairview, Joseph Elden Nelson (Jake Strickland) of Salt Lake City, seven grandchildren: Michelle, Brian Heather, Shakira, Sheyenne, Ike, and Bridger, and one great-grandson, Erik. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at the Santaquin City Cemetery located at 100 East 300 South, Santaquin, Utah. Visitation will be prior 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Utah.
