Jeanne Peery Christensen was born May 21, 1950, in Payson, Utah, to Kenvin Whitten Peery and Dawn Olivia Johnson Peery. She passed away April 8, 2021, unexpectedly, at her home in Salem, Utah. She grew up in Payson, Utah.
She married Bryan Russell Christensen and they lived in Salem. Jeanne loved her family, plants and working in her garden, drinking Dr. Pepper, and animals of all kinds. She was tender-hearted in collecting and gathering animals to nurture; her grandchildren loved to go to her house and see her donkeys plus various other adopted critters. She especially loved her Basset hounds: Winston, Henry, and Izzy. She had worked for IFA in retail, and as a receptionist for Payson City, but loved being at home as a wife, mom, and grandma; and taking care of her fur-babies.
Jeanne is survived by her husband, Bryan Christensen; her two daughters: Shantele (Chad) Jasperson; and Heidi Weeks; and a stepson, Wesley (Meredith) Christensen. She is also survived by five grandsons, two granddaughters, and one great-grandson; as well as her brothers, Jeff Peery and Mike Peery.
Graveside Services will be Saturday, April 17, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. in the Salem City Cemetery, 130 East 965 South, Salem, Utah. Family and friends are invited to meet at the cemetery. There will not be a public visitation.
