Rayma Jean Bascom Griffith, 75, passed away peacefully September 26, 2022, in Orem, Utah. Jeanne was born to Raymon Owen and Illa Fay Bascom June 3, 1947, in Vernal, Utah. She was the oldest of seven children. Jean attended school in Idaho.
Jeanne married Larry E. Griffith November 25, 1966, in Spring Lake, Utah. They made their home there and were blessed with three sons: Troy, Steven, and Wyatt. Jeanne and Larry eventually divorced.
She worked for many doctors and hospitals in the medical secretarial field.
Jeanne was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved serving. Her most recent calling was Relief Society President in her ward in Roy.
Jeanne very much enjoyed crocheting and giving her afghan blankets to others. She loved genealogy and helped many families find their ancestors. She compiled and printed the book for the Lowder family.
She is survived by her sons: Troy (Julie), Steven (Tina), and Wyatt (Rebecca); brothers and sisters, Robert (Sharon) Bascom, Jerry Ann (Ken) Lance, Dale (Jeri) Bascom, Gayla (Bob) Carter, Nina Pace; and 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Jeanne is preceded in death by her parents, sister Barta, and great granddaughter Tacy.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Walker Funeral Home, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Utah. Visitation will be prior from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Dry Fork Cemetery, 6600 West Dry Fork Cemetery Road, Vernal, Utah.
