Jayla Ann Hiatt February 27, 2001 - June 14, 2019

Jayla Ann Hiatt, our beloved daughter and sister passed away suddenly on June 14, 2019 at the age of 18 in a tragic boating accident at Lake Powell. She was born February 27, 2001 in Payson, Utah, to Courtney Ann Measom and Jerad Kevin Hiatt.

Jayla grew up in Spanish Fork attending school at Maple Mountain High School and Landmark High School where she graduated in May 2019. She was previously employed at Glade’s Drive Inn in Spanish Fork and Monogram Station in Mapleton. Jayla loved being with her friends, listening to music, singing, dancing and being wild. She loved being outdoors whether it was up the canyon camping and four-wheeling or tanning at the Res in Spanish Fork. She loved to write and take pictures, especially with her friends. Jayla had a beautiful smile and gorgeous blue eyes that would light up the room. She always put others before herself and would help anyone when they were down and struggling. She was a great listener and never quick to pass judgment. She had a simple ability to be accepting towards everyone she met and loved making new friends, she had many best friends. She loved her family dearly, especially her siblings and would do anything in the world for them. Her number one best friend and the love of her life is Chanston Foot, thank you for loving her and making her so happy. She wanted so much more out of life but will never get to accomplish those things.

We love you so much Jayla Bean, please stay close and watch over us.

She is survived by her mother, Courtney Measom and by her father, Jerad Hiatt. She leaves behind her sister, Addy Measom and three brothers: Jaxson Hiatt, Kaysen Hiatt and Ryker Young.
