It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Jason W Evans. He passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026, after a fearless 20-year battle with cancer. He faced his many challenges with bravery, strength, positivity, and resilience. He was an inspiration to anyone and everyone who knew him.
Jason was born on August 24, 1986, in Provo, Utah, to parents Rick Evans and Brenda (Rich) Roberts. Jason was the third child of four and was the oldest son. He attended Springville High School, where he graduated in the class of 2004. He attended UTI’s auto mechanics program in Avondale, Arizona, for a brief period before returning to his childhood home in Mapleton, Utah, where he worked at Pacific States Cast Iron Pipe Company. He worked here through his original diagnosis of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in April of 2006 until his illness limited his ability to work in 2010.
When Jason was younger, he enjoyed camping, hunting, and riding his dirt bike (even if it led to many hospital visits). As he got older, he still enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, and spending as much time as possible with his two children.
Jason is survived by his two children, Chevelle and Bentley Evans; His parents, Rick Evans (Spanish Fork, Utah) and Brenda and Bryan Roberts (Lake Havasu City, Arizona); His three siblings, Amy Evans (Lake Havasu City, Arizona), Charlyn (Riley) Carpenter (Spanish Fork,Utah), and Tyler (Sammi) Roberts (Elk Ridge, Utah). As well as his nieces and nephews, Tamera, Aspyn, Damon, Chase, and Ava.
Jason’s memory will live on in all of those who knew and loved him. He was an example of courage, positivity, and persistence. Throughout his battle with cancer, he managed to stay patient and always put others before himself. He was the type of person to give you the shirt off his back if you needed it, even when he was going through his own struggles. He loved his children beyond measure, and his family was everything to him. Our family will feel his absence every day, and he will be missed dearly.
A celebration of life will be held on June 22nd, 2026, from 6:00pm – 9:00pm at Amavi Event Center, 160 N Main St in Spanish Fork, Utah. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Jason, share stories, and celebrate the love he shared.
