Jason Michael Peterson November 20, 1977 - January 25, 2019

Jason Michael Peterson was born November 20th, 1977 in Provo Utah. He was diagnosed March of 2017 with ALS (Lou Gehrics) which he ended up passing away from on January 25th, 2019. He was born to Michael Peterson and Peggy Batty They loved him very much. His mother and father divorced when he was younger, Peggy then married Claude Batty and Michael married Marsha Peterson. Which expanded his family a lot and was a great time in his life, his family consists of 6 sisters and 4 brothers. There is Jacquelynn Chadwick, Jennifer Kummer, Josete Batty, Joy Batty, Julieann Bell, Emily Wimp, Tobias Peterson, Austin Peterson, Cody Peterson and Kelley Peterson. Emily married Jim Wimp who have been a great help to their mother Peggy, Jason and Jessica.

Jessica has known Jason since they were in their younger years. They were separated when he went off to job core where he graduated with his diploma. His family was very proud of him for completing school. That is where he met Kristy his first wife and has his daughter Kayla Peterson with. He was so proud of her and the young woman she has become. He always said she looked just like her aunt Emily, everyone agrees (haha). After he and his first wife divorced he then Met Janel White, she had a daughter named Hannah Hanks where he quickly became a father again. He loved Hannah as if she was his own, then along came Cameron Peterson. He would always speak of his children, he would say how girls were easier than boys. He would mention how smart and beautiful his girls were and that Cameron is so smart and would be a heart breaker when he gets older, Cameron looks just like Jason.

Unfortunately after some time he lost his 2nd wife Janel she has been missed by all every day since her passing in 2015. Jessica came back into his life after 20+ years where she has been by his side ever since, which they loved each other very much. Jessica’s boys Patrick and Dean Laehn have been a big help once Jason was diagnosed with ALS. He loved all of them very much and are so proud of them. He was able to attend Kayla, Hannah, Patrick and Deans graduations. He wanted Cameron to know how bad he felt not being able to one day attend his graduation but is proud of him in his education.

Jason was such a hard worker over the years, and had many different jobs in life. He was working for Liberty Safe when he was diagnosed with ALS. Where he worked his way up to a Team Lead position within the company and was so proud. He made a lot of great friends that made working for him fun and rewarding.

Jason loved so many things in life that to only pick a few was hard, but we all say he is no longer in pain and out fishing without all of us. He loved fishing day or night that never stopped him. He loved going out on the boats with Jim and Jaslee. Jason also loved reading, bowling, playing pool, and anything outdoors. He loved the Utah Jazz, New England Patriots, Baseball, Pro Bowling and was getting into Soccer. Loved all the concerts we were able to take him too, like Motley Crew and Rob Zombie/Marilyn Manson.

In the last few months of Jason being with us we had a lot of help from many people one being Justin Peterson. He was always happy to see friends and family. Was as happy as he could be in his situation. Making many cracked up jokes and laughing. Jason will be missed and loved by many!!!

He is preceded in death by his Step dad Claude Batty, Sister Joy Batty and wife Janel White. Whom he loved very much and missed dearly.
