It is with much sorrow that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, son, and brother Jarid Lynn Spencer. Born October 9, 1990, in Provo, Utah. Jarid was the hardest working and most loyal man. If anyone asked for help, he would be there in a heartbeat to help out in any way he could. He was a strength that many relied on. Jarid made jokes of always being grumpy, but really, he had the biggest heart and cared about the people in his life. He was an amazing husband and father; he always did all he could to provide for his family and make sure they were taken care of. His family is seeing that in so many ways right now.
Jarid loved to learn about so many things, whether it was cooking on his Traeger or learning how to fix the washer and dryer. Youtube was his go to learn how to do whatever he felt he could do himself. Jarid loved going hunting with his dad, brothers, brother-in-law, friends, and especially his oldest son. He was most happy and at peace when he was in the mountains, it was his favorite place to be and contemplate life. If Jarid could have, we would have lived up there. Jarid worked at USSYNETHTIC as factory manager and was an extremely hard worker. He made a difference even in his co-workers’ lives.
Jarid is survived by his wife Kaylee and their children Jaydin, Aria, Kaidree, and Johnathan. Jarid is also survived by his parents J and Angela Spencer and siblings. He passed away with his younger brother Jordon Spencer doing something they both loved. We will miss Jarid deeply and no words can describe the loss of his life in his family’s life.
We love you Jarid.
Lastly, we wanted to give our sincerest appreciation to the first responders, life flight crews, sheriff’s department, and hospital staff who aided our family in this time of crisis. Similarly, we wanted to give thanks to the families and friends who have provided unending support to us during this time. Thank you everyone.
Visitation for Jordon and Jarid will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 586 West 1750 South in Payson, Utah.

November 8, 2023 at 10:52 pmI am grateful I had the opportunity to be his Scoutmaster. One of my fondest memories is when we hiked into Notch Lake in the Uintahs and he wanted to see how close we could get to the mountain goats because he was going to get a picture of them. I think we hiked 2 miles to stay upwind of the goats so he could get the picture of them. we got within about 10′ of them. He was always willing to help others, He even carried another boys pack for part of that trip as that young man was falling behind. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Spencer and Peterson families as this time.
