Janet Ruth Johnson Reese passed quietly away March 24, 2022, in Springville, Utah. She was born March 31, 1934, in Spanish Fork, Utah, the seventh of eight children born to Juanita and Frank Johnson.
At age 19, she married Jerry Reese and they moved to Southern California, where they raised their two daughters.
Janet is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and she devoted herself to her church callings. She particularly cherished being Stake Young Women President, in California. In her later years, she served an LDS mission in Nebraska, before moving back to Spanish Fork to care for her mother.
Her other passion was children, working in a daycare facility. She also enjoyed serving as a foster grandmother.
Janet made friends easily, loved her family, and was loved in return by all of them.
A graveside service for Janet will be held Monday, March 28, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Spanish Fork City Cemetery, 420 South 400 East, Spanish Fork, Utah 84660.
The service will be livestreamed through Walker Funeral Homes Facebook page at the time of the service.

March 26, 2022 at 8:10 amI love Janet. I was working at the Beehive Home while Juanita was there, Janet was so dedicated and kind not just to her mother but to the caretakers too. Just a beautiful woman inside and out.

March 27, 2022 at 6:46 pmHate to hear of Aunt Janet’s passing. She had the greatest laugh. She was so good to step in when help was needed, especially if it was a child. I remember her playing piano for Relief Society when she had come to visit. I remember her being the only one to notice a lost child in a crowd we were in and she wouldn’t rest until she found her parents. A wonderful person.
