Jane Atkin Moffitt Pexton, age 81 of Payson, Utah passed away on November 19, 2024. She was born on December 6, 1942, in Payson to Joe W. and Clara Finlinson Atkin.
While growing up, Jane moved around a lot in relation to her father being in the Navy and for his employment. She lived in Oak City, Spanish Fork, Cedar City, Phoenix (AZ) and Wellton (AZ). Jane graduated from Antelope Union High School in Wellton on May 18, 1960. After graduating from high school, Jane moved to Spanish Fork to attend beauty school.
Jane married William (Bill) Dale Moffitt on May 5, 1961. Jane and Bill had three children, Tammy, Gary, and Joe. Her children remember many memories of hard work followed by hard play. They enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, four-wheeling, sand dunning, watching stock car races, and BMX bike races. On July 26, 1986, Bill was killed in a tragic ATV accident at the Little Sahara Sand Dunes in Juab County.
Following the passing of Bill in 1986, Jane married James Harlow Pexton, of Nephi, on January 1, 1987 Jane and Jim loved to travel (with memorable trips to China, Taiwan, Mexico, and cruising the Caribbean Islands). Jane and Jim divorced in 2011.
Jane was an immaculate homemaker for many years and her home was always spotless. She was an avid reader and loved to crochet afghans and pink boa scarves (which she freely shared with family and friends). She had a love for music (especially Elvis) and country.
Jane was a licensed realtor, worked for Powder River as a travel rep, and worked many years for Reams in Springville as the video and floral department manager. She made many lifelong friends, and she has always cherished their friendship.
She is preceded in death by her husbands (Bill and Jim) and parents (Joe and Clara). She is survived by her children, Tammy (Tad) Beck, Gary (Tammy) Moffitt, Joe (Hillerie) Moffitt; 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and her siblings; Clara Jo (George) Headley, William (Ann) Atkin, and Jill Higley.
Graveside service will be held at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery Saturday, November 23rd at 11:00am. Prior to the graveside, there will be a viewing from 10am to 10:45am at Walker Mortuary, 187 S Main St in Spanish Fork.
