Jan Don Killian, born on December 20, 1937, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Don Thorne Killian and Lois Russell Killian. Jan passed away peacefully on November 6, 2024, in Payson, Utah. A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Jan served a faithful mission for his church in the Central Atlantic Mission from 1958 to 1960. Jan’s faith was the guiding force throughout his life.
On March 4, 1960, Jan was married and sealed to the love of his life, Imogene Harding, in the Idaho Falls Temple. Together, they embarked on a beautiful journey that would grow to include a large and loving family. He is survived by his cherished wife, Imogene, and their eight children: Troy Jan Killian (Janice), Teressa Killian Aitken (Bruce), Nathan Robert Killian (Jill), Rebecca Killian Marvin (Kent), Todd Russell Killian (Angela), Lisa Killian Cook, Chad Don Killian (Rogelia), and Camille Killian Mangelson (Ben). Jan was a proud grandfather to 38 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren, each of whom he held close to his heart.
Among his favorite pastimes was gathering with family at their cabin in Bear Lake, where he found joy and fulfillment in the love and laughter of those around him.
Jan will be remembered for his steadfast faith, dedication to his family, and his warmth and kindness. His legacy lives on in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who carry forward his values and the cherished memories of his love and wisdom.
The family would like to thank the hospice services through Suncrest and Rocky Mountain Care for their loving and compassionate services.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 11, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 75 South 600 East in Payson, Utah. Visitation will be prior from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Payson City Cemetery, 400 North 800 East, Payson, Utah.
