Jackie (Jack) Lee Dawson, age 88, passed away peacefully at home on June 4, 2024. He was born on November 16, 1935, in Jefferson, Missouri to Jack L Dawson and Marcella Harman. Married Carma Jean Killian on August 6, 1961.
Jack enjoyed fishing, camping, and race car driving. He had a love for animals and contributed to many foundations. He was a dedicated union member, retiring from the Local 3 Operating Engineers in 1990.
Survived by children Diana Stephenson, Wayne (Judy) Kurtz, Bill Kurtz and Pam (Scott) Argyle; grandchildren Troy Williams, April (Aaron) Bennett, Marcy Kurtz, Jenny (Randy) Wilkins, Nick Kurtz, Jerrott (Jamie) Argyle, John (Ruthann) Argyle, Joseph (Katie) Argyle, Ryan Argyle, Rob Argyle (Jessica Lewis), Michael (Shelby) Argyle and Taylor Kurtz. 24 great grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his loving wife, parents, siblings, and daughter Terri Jo Christensen.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, June 14th from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Dedication of the grave will follow at the Salem City Cemetery.
